Anybody got any opinions on the best and worst presenters that we had/have on Southern/TVS/Meridian television?

Mike Debens always got on my goat a bit. I heard a story once that one of my Mum's work colleague's met him on a cross channel ferry and he was really obnoxious and above himself.

Is Ron Lobeck still alive and kicking?

Fred Dineage - Already covered in another thread = top class clunt.

Ditto = Steggall

Not forgetting the fabulous ladies that we have enjoyed/endured - including Natasha Kaplinski, Kathy Tayler, Kate Garraway, Sue Kinnear, Liz Wickham....

... Ah the memories :D

Trevor 'The Weather' Baker. He did the sport on Southern.

I used to quite fancy Sue Kinnear and saw her at the Goldstone for that boycotted Mansfield match reporting.

I also recall with with fondness, the short spell Alison Holloway did with Meridian. A former wife of drink driving, wife beating, rascist Jim 'Nick Nick' Davidson nonetheless.

I am also a fan of Gemma Humphries.

Geoff Clarke, on the other hand, is/was a big fat FUCKER.

Is that the bearded Gills fan who jumped ship from Meridian to BBC? Its such a shame when presenter's agents tout them around to the highest bidder. It really has ruined the local news game

What about misty and murky Carl Tyler ?

Carl Tyler always seemed to me to be trying just a bit too hard to step out of Ron Lobeck's shadow. The exaggerated hand movements, the over EMPHASISED words etc.

Not bad for a old fella, but just needed to calm down a bit.

Who was that other weather bloke that sounded petrified - was his name Baz Watkiss or something like that?

I used to like Jenny Hull as well, but she was on BBC South today. She was little more than a dwarf and everyday seemed to be a bad hair day, but she would have got some Tubby loving, brewers drewp allowing.

Kaddy Lee-Preston on BBC south-east, a great reason to check the local weather every day IMHO.

I dont think anyone but a fool would cast doubt on the talents of Kaddy, one thing I miss about working in Tunbridge Wells is the sightings of her around the town.
