Virgin Trains have shutdown their network for safety reasons, the roof of Crewe station has blown off onto the rail lines too.

Advice being given is to not attempt travel North of London.

Network Rail reporting that the water table is so high just north of Brighton that it is in danger of swamping the line and cutting off the Brighton/london main line

That's what I must've seen earlier then that I mentioned earlier this thread. It looked like an inch of rain will flood the line.

You will be surprised. I remember a fatality at East Croydon (nearly 50 miles away) which meant that the trains that go along the coast from Brighton to Ports/Southampton were all up the swanee. Even tho they go nowhere near East Croydon. Couldnt make it up.

If the train crew that were on the Bton - West Coastway routes previous working was down from London as is often the case then it would have a serious knock on affect
