It will cause more trouble if the courts stop the strike rather than allow it to go ahead
What form might this 'more trouble' take?

Can only say as I found today, but travelled on three different Thameslink trains. All were twelve carriages long, all were punctual, all were practically deserted. Seems a long long time ago now when Thameslink were considered the poor relation on the London-Brighton line.
There should be some service but very difficult to say how many trains. It will be the first non-strike day since the drivers' overtime ban came in. There are no trains from Seaford to Falmer.Sorry. Just to be clear, do we expect trains from London on Friday night for the match? And will there be trains from Brighton or Lewes to the ground?
Severe lack of a train service mixed in with an accident by polegate this morning meaning moving around the East side of the patch is impossible today
Everyone should go back to bed and wait until this all blows over.

Roads must be busier with people not trusting the trains, especially on a strike day but also generally some people are now preferring the car or bus. What an absolute clusterfck. And yet Grayling keeps saying "nothing to do with me".

Previously on days of reduced service, there have been replacement buses between Lewes and Falmer for fans but there has been no announcement to this effect for Friday (to my knowledge).

The club have already organised extra buses and an additional park and ride at Sainsburys West Hove.Surely Southern should throw the towel in NOW and allow profit Paul to get some buses laid on.
TBH if I was the club I would be doing this as a matter of course because you just cannot trust southern at the moment. Plus the drivers are still working to rule.

It won't be enough, though, as the SASTA Rail 'service' will disolve on Friday night.

Hopefully the strikers will grow some balls and picket Falmer station on Friday night
The DOO Thameslink services seem to be deficient in the D dept today. Typical. Sadly Grayling and maynard are completely washing their hands of this and there appears to be nothing anyone can do about it. It is utterly maddening.
As for friday, I have the day off to make sure I get to the game hassle free, and it will be bus or walk home for me after.
My only hope is that after the Villa debacle SASTA may actually pull their finger out for once and try and get some decent publicity by heroically coming to everyone's rescue and doing their job for once.
Just discovered that because I have not bought 12 weeks of rail travel since April I cannot claim back any kind of refund for the upcoming strike days on my recently purchased monthly ticket. 1-0 to Southern I guess
stop hoping cos they won't, they don't care about publicity, they don't need to be heroes, they really do not give a damn
