Of course if you are elderly or disabled the post was not aimed at you but I know of several people not going tonight because apparently there is 'literally no way to get back to Brighton'. Even if you are that lazy then get 4 people to share a cab back into town.

Not that easy. There isn't a cab rank at the Amex. That would be FAR too bleedin' simple to set up (bye-laws 2.9.63c, 3.25 para.2 sub-section f etc etc :bla:)

As others have said, if you live in and around Brighton then bloody walk. Amazed at the number of people who have a ticket and will miss the game because of an hour walk. No wonder the country is obese.

Unfortunately there are many people (who don't have any health issues) who consider the walk from Falmer station to the Stadium too much, let alone walking back into town!

Park at Mithras then bus or walk on the way and definitely walk the way back. Queues for buses afterwards means walking will surely be quicker anyway.

The queues for Park and Ride shouldn't be that bad, unless everyone is using as a way to get into town. It's normally full or close to anyway since they reduced the capacity.

Easy , get the train to Moulsecoomb and walk from there ..

There's two trains an hour after six, they'll likely be three carriages long too. If a lot of people try that option they'll find themselves out of luck.

This. About the same from Lewes too.

I've been told by people who've done it after Bonfire that the walk from/to Lewes isn't too nice. It's certainly doable, just not sure it's a great choice.

At least Paul Barber is happy as we need Sky money so we'll not lose any money and the atmosphere will be great.

Busy road and dark (unlit), but there is a footpath. Could understand why some might not want to do it

Not in Whitechapel
Strikes over

Train to work cancelled
Next train is delayed by 20 minutes already
Can't make it to the Brighton game I'd booked a half day for.

Seriously pissed off. Southern can get in the f*cking sea.

I've got to drive down from Windsor at 4pm during Friday rush hour then getting a lift to the ground about 6ish.

What are the chances the kick off will be delayed if traffic is bad do we reckon?

Bit selfish expecting the game to be delayed if you get stuck in Windsor.

You could walk for a little then get one, it doesn't have to be RIGHT outside the Amex, my days people are so lazy.

Sorry, but you're being an anal ventriloquist on this one and have patently never attempted to get a cab anywhere near the Amex.

I have got one from opposite Stanmer park after walking for a bit (not cause I am lazy but because I was going to be late for a comedy gig in town).

And I've got one or two that were randomly unofficially lurking halfway down Lewes Road before now. No substitute whatsoever for an official cab rank at the Amex tho eh?

No substitute I agree, there should be a cab rank BUT if people of Brighton are not going cause they cannot get in to a taxi 2 mins walk from their seat then I have little sympathy.
