Albion's fixture with Southend United at Roots Hall has been moved back to the original date and time of 3pm on Saturday 26th January.

The match was originally rescheduled to the Friday night, due to Southend's televised match with Leeds United the following Monday, but that decision has been reversed by the Football League.

Meanwhile, Albion expect to announce details for the FA Cup third round tie with Mansfield Town on Saturday 5th January, kick-off 3pm, .

The club are in discussions with Mansfield over prices and as soon as an agreement is reached an announcement will be made, with tickets being made available shortly afterwards.

Why would they switch it back? Police recommendation?

nah. bates told the fl the only way leeds will play southend on monday is if both teams play on saturday. and the fl gave into him/went back to the agreement they had with him.

As Scotty says, we'll be playing in the cup that day, so its irrelevant.

That man is really beginning to annoy me (Did I say beginning?). Is it also true that he is limiting the amount of away fans (presumably short term capital gain is not on the agenda) that are able to attend Elland Rd?

There is that. Are Southend out?

nope. and nor are luton who we play on the saturday.

tis true about bates, he told them if you want us on tv the they play saturday (cup apart) it was topic of conversation before he spectacularly flounced out of a a £1k per head dinner on sunday night. luckily the old codger had paid upfront and didnt land me with the bill.

yes that is true. but only because he wants to give more tickets to leeds fans, not because he wants to save money.

why give 5k to away fans when we only have to give 1,700 to them, and we have been within 1,000 of a sell out for a weekend game.

can't blame him for that.

Can't they open up the rest of the stadium?

there is no safety certificate for the upper tier.

there is a stair way to nowhere built in the middle of it at present.

kukev - the minimum is 2000 tickets. not sure of the percentage to run alongside it. we have had a barny with huddersfield this past few weeks because we only gave them 1,710 tickets and the fl agreed with us and they took their dummies home and are now putting on the big screen for all the young families to scraed to come to er or who didnt get a ticket.

For once I might agree with him. Southend would have had a slight advantage by playing 18 hours or so earlier.

Plus if we don't beat Mansfield and they don't get to the 4th round it will be easier to get to on Saturday day.
