Five of their next six league games are away* (with a nice distracting FA Cup tie against Man Utd in the middle)... Will be interesting to see where they are at the end of Feb.

*and 7 out of their next 9!

I can easily see them getting a draw with Man u as they will probably field a few kids. This means another game.Fingers crossed.

Why would they field a few kids? They've not done it at all all season so see no reason why they would now, particularly in a game they could win.

I think it's reasonable to think about the teams behind us and the thread starter makes a good point - I knew they had a lot of away games to catch up on butnot that many. Good stats and reassuring to know.

I know it's easy to discount Huddersfield with them having played the extra games, but they do have mainly winnable fixtures between now and the end of the season. They seem to have played many of the difficult ones already.

Think Huddersfield look in very good form at present.

Funny how Wendy and Hartlepool have fallen away at the moment.

Yeah!
For a long time now I've thought the top 2 places will be filled with either us, SSC or hudders, can't see anyone else getting involved in the fight for automatic

Sorry, not that I really give a monkey's, but didn't Southampton win their last away game 6 - 0 ? As previous posters have said all the time this other club get mentioned, our results are the ones that matter. All the teams in contention still have to come to us and get something, imo it's ours to lose. Southampton-itis on here is really getting boring.

i am not to bothered how they get on as long as we win
the way i look at it , when we win and others around us win , i think that's another week they have lost to catch up .
and if they lose then .. well were more in front with one less game to play
