Southampton VERY impressive

What? We need at least one extra forward. Lambert and Barnard are good enough for them. We need, I think, an experienced, dominant, physically emposing centre half, they have two.

Thought we found out how important Glenn Murray is. When he went off we lost any ability to hold the ball up and we defended so deep it was only a matter of time before they scored. We brought on Noone and then did not get the ball to him in the right areas. At times he was doubling up as a left back. Dicker was immense in midfield and had carried Sparrow for the whole game and he was absolutely shattered 15 minutes from the end. Wood seemed to be playing centre half after he came on and Sandaza lost the ball every time he got it. Having said all that, we had a bad day at the office. Southampton looked useful, but would only have Lallana,Lambert and Forte in our team and we have got Gus and they have got Adkins.Enough said.

Chamberlin Barnard and Schneiderlin are useful too but they are injured.

They were nothing special, I've seen better opposition down at Withdean. I thought Carlisle were much better then them also.
