I thought Southampton looked rather Average, That Dickson is useless and Barnard and Connelly looked no danger at all, at the look of this game i dont think Southampton will win the league, but they did look better with Lallana or however spell it come on and without top class Lambert, shows depend on these two players.
Also i cant see how Southampton win the league with Hammond and Harding and that Dickson in team.
Plymouth very tidy team but no way will they win the league just not got enough creativity to win the league, be up in the top 10, also Southampton lost me my bet for this week as did Accumulator with them Charlton, Sheff Wed, Rotherham, Middlesboro to all win.
So lost after one game thanks a lot.
Now here comes the big one

A quite superb away performance from Argyle. They defended magnificently here and come away with all three points after taking their only chance of the game through Summerfield. Not many visiting teams will keep a clean sheet here this season and it's a dream start for Peter Reid and his team.

Sporting Life Opinion

I still think Southampton will make the play-offs.

Very funny. I've heard Pardew is already unpopular with the boss, and he just did enough last season. A poor start by October, and he'll be out I reckon.

This is my favourite quote from the 6-0-6 site:

Well, for all the pundits who think we're auto promotion contenders think again. No real depth to the squad which will find us out again this season. AP needs to strengthen the team and Antonio and Papa despite their faults are going to be missed big time.

Can NC be pursuaded to open the chequebook again? I hope so.

Needs to strengthen? Open the chequebook? Does he not think they already did that over the summer? It's ONE GAME, you total MORON. Norwich lost their first game 7-1 but walked the league last time, similarly Palace are three up today but will undoubtedly be relegated in May.

Get some PERSPECTIVE, you Southampton Spanner
