This was highlighted by WA recently on the radio, when they went up they had nothing a team and a ground that wasnt good enough and HAD to improve the ground hence no money for the team. When we do go up whether it be this year or next, we have the ground and the infustructure so all can be spent on the team. As PB said we are PLR.

Er, they pulled the ground expansion plans early summer

Injuries aside, Bournemouth failed to bring in sufficient quality in the previous transfer window. You reap what you sow.

Eddie can't be expected to keep pulling rabbits out of the hat operating on a shoestring budget.

The assertion Bournemouth have a shoestring budget is a myth. They've spent plenty of money in the last couple of seasons.

Ironically Bournemouth could do with a Zamora type player. They needed more than Distin in the experience department. Guess Eddie Howe was always likely to stick by the players who got them up. Though if a team like Everton came in for Matt Ritchie in January he'd be off like a flash. Such is football.

Bring back Eddie Mitchell!

Neither Cook nor Elphick in the squad are they injured or suspended or just dropped.

Elphick has had surgery on an ankle injury and isn't expected to be fit until around the new year. As someone else mentioned Cooks about to become a dad so maybe he's missing today because of that.

Don't make me laugh. They've been awash with money.
Howe is overrated, particularly by Bournemouth fans and gullible neutrals. Ask Burnley fans about him. You get a different perspective then. History will show that he only ever achieves at one club. A one-club man, comfortable in those clothes. Awkward and exposed, outside of them. Now, they arouse sympathy. Bad luck with injuries etc. He's getting off lightly. All managers have to cope with these issues. Swept forward on momentum last season, he hasn't invested in quality. Straight back down.

Then he's been a fool. The game is awash with players who look really good at Championship level but can't cut it at the higher level. Elphick and Cook are two such examples. Blackman is ripping up trees at Reading but he will struggle at the higher level. There is no substitute for class and Bournemouth haven't got enough.
Maybe Howe's naivety is now costing them dear.

Eddie Howe got his tactics wrong in the first half but credit to them for a decent second half. Southampton are a class act.

I was taking the piss Mo, I can't stand the club or their manager.
