Ward-prowse could be a good replacement for Mac when he goes this summer. I’m sure he would be interested in not moving too far. Maybe lallana could sell it to him

What a depressing thought. Losing Mac would be bad enough but trying to replace him with Ward-Prowse is just not on

I might sign up to Saintsweb and ask them how much Ward-Prouse might cost.

Would much rather Leeds, Everton, West Ham, Palace, Chelsea etc go down. In fact I'd rather pretty much every other club in the premier League apart from us go down before Southampton. Odd because I used to hate them.

When was the last time Brighton were in a higher division to Southampton over history?
Even when Brighton were in the top flight 1979/1983 Southampton were higher in the table.
The top south coast team is here now especially with Portsmouths desmise.
Last time we were in a higher division than Southampton was the 1959/60 season, they were in what was then Div 3 and we were in Div 2. We were above the in the 58/59 season too which was the first season with national Div 3 and 4 after previously having regional leagues below Div 2.

I believe that is the only time we’ve been a division above them in our history.

I’d rather Livramento. Very talented lad and a player I’d really like to see at our club
Played his first 45 minutes in an U21 game a couple of weeks ago since doing his ACL against us last year, he had a set back injury during rehab. An unknown quantity currently, doubt he will go anywhere this summer.

Not only relegated but probably bottom of league too.

I thought they would be down before our home game with them, but not this soon.

Just watching the scenes on Sky, got me thinking, have we ever gone down in this fashion, almost without a whimper?

From memory only 86/87 or 91/92 would come close, but there were serious financial issues going on behind the scenes which we knew nothing of, and in 95/96 anarchy had broken out, and there were far bigger issues than football for us all to see.

Nathan Jones’s appointment effectively Saints EPL resignation letter?

Maybe Ward-Prowse would fancy a move along the coast?

Was he ever at St Mary’s with Lallana ?
83..,,,, Final game Norwich away, I believe Kieran O’Regan was allowed to play despite being signed after the transfer deadline….. something like that…..
