Far too early to count them out, with the players and set up they have they will be there or there abouts.

Course they can. Norwich were 18 points behind Leeds last season, and ended up champions. Long way to go.

I was half-jokingly telling colleagues over the summer it would be us and them this season. I think that's a lot more likely now, they will be in the shake-up, it was us that had to have the good start.

Our biggest threats to automatic promotion, in my opinion are SOUTHAMPTON, HUDDERSFIELD AND PETERBOROUGH

I think there may be a touch of the Emperor's New Clothes about Southampton. They haven't really ripped this division up for more than a couple of games on the trot since they dropped in. Yes they should be good but they're not consistent enough to be be a real threat at the moment. An injury to Lambert will probably be catastrophic too.

I'm afraid automatic promotion is still a possibility for the stains. They're actually only 7 points off the pace, and they will continue to beat ordinary sides at home and pick up the odd win away. OK, they've just lost at Huddersfield, and Huddersfield are a good side by L1 standards. I fancy Southampton to beat them at St Marys though.

Long long way to go still.

They'd been relegated the season before with much the same squad, change of manager and good players came back to the fore. Saints have had more wholesale changes in playing staff
I can't really be bothered getting into the ins and outs of Norwich so I'll give you that.

Southampton made their changes last summer and Jnaury though, mostly, they only signed two or three players this summer, this is the squad that was in superb form, promotion form for two thirds of last season. They only just missed out on the playoffs despite a deduction and a slow start, if you go through their squad they have quality in every position. They'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, I'm sure of it.

First thing to do in any season is to avoid relegation! Once that's achieved, concentrate on mounting a challenge at the top. Even when George Graham was winning title's at Arsenal, he'd still open a bottle of champagne when they reached 40pts! :lolol:
