Missed both warm up games due to illness. Possibly still a bit under the weather.
Good point, let's hope so. I worry that in the age of video analysis, Test teams know what to expect and have found his weaknesses.

Isn't this the seventh time he has got a Test fifty but still has no Centuries?

This is we cannot hope to be the top test team any more.

Far too many batsmen seem to think 50 is job done. We don't seem capable of putting a 100 + partnership together.

Reading the BBC site shows how we lose concentration too easily:

"That was a beautiful cover drive from Denly. England have got their way - Pretorius, the weakest of the seamers has had to come on. Well, played Joe Denly."

Next comment:
"And, naturally, Pretorius rips his next delivery past Denly's outside edge as he pushes forward in defence"

And that was out on review. A maiden test wicket for the weak bowler !

And as I type that, another one out!

Will we get to 200 after winning the toss?

Just pathetic. 178/8.

It’s at the point where I actually feel sorry for our bowlers now, constantly let down.

Let it go, as a Test nation we have usually always been consistently shite apart from the odd positive blip for a year or two. The Ausies usually always gave us problems, home and away, then the Windies came along, then India came along.... usually spankable teams like Sri Lanka and New Zealand got better as did Pakistan, there are no easy series in Test Cricket these days and for the foreseeable future.
