The spicy corn chowder from Covent Garden used to be lovely - and its not too salty at all - I used to have it all the time until they upped the spice content - which then basically made my nose stream and my eyes water for the next few hours..... not good when you have it at lunch and have meetings to go to all afternoon...

It was surprisingly OK.
Yup, it was green like a baby's nappy, and the taste of lettuce kept creeping up on me like waves of whisky revulsion, but i ate/supped the full pint. I did add black pepper and a sprinkling of cheese though.
I shan't buy it again and recommend that no one else does either, but i live.
