Notts
It would never be results that would stop me being proud. If we fielded a team of cowardly killers like Lee Hughes I might have some doubts, but that's not quite the same as a miserable run of home form.

the notts worship hughesy. And quite right. He works his bloody sox off and has got 21 goals. I bet albion are gutted they didn't sign him.

Tbf to Derbygull, cause off where he lives it must be hard for him to get too games and it must be much harder to keep the same support for the team if he can't get too games on a regular basis.

Beat me too it. When I lived in Cambridge, Never got to his level(strangely living with a rams fans!) But did feel disconnected from the club in some way. needs abit of Sussex air I think!

no wizard. If you're used to living in sussex all ur life then u don't know where i'm coming from.
I've now lived in Suffolk longer than I did in Sussex and would never feel ashamed to wear the stripes, never have been over the years, never will be even if by some catastrophe we ended up plying our trade in the County League.

Have to agree with other comments in as much as if you're having doubts about your love for the Albion, then you've probably picked the wrong club to support

When comments are made that however badly the team perform I am proud of them and will continue to attend matches then things are hardly going to improve. If you must watch a local game each week then why not attend a park match until results and entertainment justify the price being charged.

I feel the same way in a sense. It's hard to have pride in your team during these times. But I was proud to be a Brighton fan in 1997/1998 when not having a stadium didn't stop us caring, and losing every game didn't stop us going. We have a football club today because of the support of the fans back in those days and the Heroic Dick Knight. Things are shocking at the moment, fact. They weren't much better last season. But it's still Brighton and Hove Albion, the same one we loved during the back to back titles years and the same club we loved when McGhee made us one of the most boring sides in the league. This is our club, the current people will move on after a while, and they'll become part of our history. Us fans will be here until our bitter ends, we'll not be history at this club until we pass on. This is our club.

And when you get down, and fall out of love with the club (which is easily done when you can't get to see them as often as you want to, I speak from first hand experience this season  ), just whack Sussex by the Sea on your stereo and feel the passion return.

easy on the insults bristol. You should be used to insults in Bristol
Isn't that the point though? He lives in Bristol and isn't afraid to say he's a Brighton fan (the same for a lot of other exiles), whereas you're coming over as a bit of a snivelling coward to be honest.

If you're really that worried what people think of you then go and buy a Chelsea shirt. You can then walk round Derby proud in the knowledge that YOUR team is better than THEIRS.

A grown man should never wear a football shirt except to play football. Possibly to attend a match. But not just to go down the pub in. 'sake.
