Juan Albion
Chicken Sniffer 3rd Class
The intro to this:
Anything by The Residents.
Anything by The Residents.
Anything by Nasenbluten. A group from Newcastle, Australia. I've always been in to hardcore, but Nasenbluten are a bit different. Their style is so unique, breakbeat/hip hop meets industrial hardcore, all with unnecessary language. c*** face is arguably their best known track from the album '100% no soul guaranteed'.
Definitely an acquired taste.
Sad to report that David R Edwards died on 20th June. I shared a house with him in Pontypridd around the mid-eighties. I considered doing an RIP thread but, aside from you and Atilla I doubt if anyone else on here had heard of Datblygu.

Yes, I saw that he'd passed (and mentioned it on the 'best track you hear today' thread last week) . You're probably right about the level of interest on NSC. There is some live stuff on youtube, attila introducing them (at Glastonwick, I assume). I imagine David was an interesting person to share a flat with. I played some Datblygu to the missus recently (she'd not come across them) and her first reaction was 'Welsh Mark E Smith' then 'no, hang on, this is amazing' (she likes The Fall, of course, but...). I don't understand a word of it but that hardly matters. All the best
ps there was a tribute programme on BBC Wales last week - probably on the iplayer now - superb; and we put subtitles on and they translated his lyrics into English.
I'd heard of them and heard them ... but the music wasn't really my thing (and I have quite few Welsh language albums).
Anything Welsh would certainly have gone down well with my parents.
I think it was the swearing and self-harming lyricsTune!
What did she have against roses in the hospital? How did she respond to the holy bible?
This as quoted above.I remember playing New Boots and Panties with my Mother in my car and forgetting what track followed Blockheads
