This thread made my computer hurt. As I can't be bothered to watch it struggle to load all of the videos on here, I shall spare it further agony by simply mentioning; Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness by Smashing Pumpkins.

Seems a bit obvious, given the name, but some of the songs on that are a perfect example of how to turn a negative emotion into POWERFUL GUITARS, SCREAMING and HITTING DRUMS REALLY HARD.
