Yes, but they could designate an area for a singing section and open it up to anyone wanting to move there - it's ‘scratch’ in terms of an unoccupied area
Don't you think those being displaced by moving the away fans should get first choice? Presumably the 3000 that are being displaced will fill the south before any so called 'singers' can move there.

Quite possibly

But unless they make it really obvious and encourage it i dont think it will happen on its own
That bits up to us. They've always said anything to do with atmosphere should be driven by fans. Its upto us to spread the word that we see the north and south safe standing section as the singing sections.

The north and south will have a safe standing zone. You'd like to think the people that migrate to these areas over time will be the people who want to be involved in leading the atmosphere. It would be a strange move to want a safe standing space but also want to be one of the more low key spectators in terms of singing would it not?
It’s a mistake ( and unfair) to think only those who stand want to be involved in leading the atmosphere’. This old ex-NSdsr would love to get some atmosphere started in the WSL or ESL but is often singing to the wind - it doesn’t help that the acoustics at the Amex are so poor - the NS think they are creating a great atmosphere but honestly half the time I can barely hear the chants if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction.

Migrating the away fans out of the SS will help but that’s not until 2027 - The NS need to sing in unison so fans in the ES and WS can hear what is being sung and join in - it is hard for those hearing the NS singing 2 or 3 different chants at the same time to know the words being sung otherwise I think a lot more fans in the ES and WS will join in…

Im not saying ONLY those who stand want to be involved in the atmos, obviously anyone can be, from wherever they sit/stand. But it just makes sense to me that if you're someone thinking 'I definitely fancy being part of the fans who MOSTLY lead the atmos' you might choose the safe standing area & this would be an easy way to group them together.

Well I do - but standing isn’t an option for some of us older folk.

I am presuming the South will have seating with ‘some safe standing’ so it’s not an issue anyway - was just questioning your assumption that one would choose ‘standing if one wanted to be part of the fans that lead the atmosphere’.

There are thousands of elderly or disabled fans for whom standing is not an option.

Personally I would rather sit around the halfway line now because my eyesight isn’t great - definitely not in any of the corners or behind the goal. Was in the NS for years at the Goldstone but I was much more mobile then and could see better!

You're totally right. Every person is different. We all enjoy the game in different ways. Im merely suggestion an easy way to bulk together one particular like minded section of supporters. There should be standing and seating in the south, no way are they making it all standing, so there's no issue.

Not necessarily - it wouldn’t need to be a mutually exclusive process anyway. Designate a decent-sized singing section, give the displaced STHs first dibs before it opens to anyone else but they also have the option of any other currently unoccupied seat in the stadium, plus any that become free as and when anyone moves to the singing section

Sounds like the sort of thing Parrish would do.

It's grim oop north
While the entire south will be vacant surely the club can allocate a couple of thousand seats and allocate them as the singing section in the south

The south would have much better atmosphere than the north as all singers would be together (very much unlike the north) plus it would be next to the away end for huge uplifts in noise between the 2 sets of fans

Really hope the club help take advantage of this opportunity and help organise
