I was there yesterday. Pitch was actually pretty difficult to bat on - took a lot of application from Nashy and Murray to grind out the runs (if it wasn't for the weather, fine local ale and Sussex winning the toss & batting, it might have been a pretty boring day's play).
The locals were saying that it's a used wicket - low & slow. Spin may well come into it (Somerset are playing three spinners). Certainly not the Taunton bouncy shirt-front we might have expected.
Big day today - with a large score on the board and Oli/Yards bowling well we could get a result. That's if we get Trescothick out anyway.
