And for those who don't drive ?
In the same wallet I left at home, which incidentally has my cash in, and my cards.

I just read the beginning of the thread until insiders post. I do not believe anyone was advocating any bad practise. There were many posts which said that cards need upgrading if they are concessionary. There were others who postulated about touts abusing the system and said the club should keep an eye on that and there were other posts which mentioned legitimate reasons that one may wish to pass a ticket on, there were no people who 'wanted something for nothing' just fans who wanted clarity.Trusting that this does not prompt another knee jerk reaction from insider who apparently is empowered to make commercial decisions on the fly. There is an issue in that old season tickets can be revoked in terms of ground entry, but they still entitle you to free travel on match day within the travel zone.
Not a major money spinner, but where there are clearly a number of people (and here I do understand Insider's frustration) who seem to revel in getting something for nothing, no matter how trivial. Who enjoy sticking two fingers up at the club and the vast majority of fans who pay for what they get and expect to be treated fairly if there is a mishap
We could all supply a phial of SPERM. This will allow DNA testing to ensure the right people are in the right seats but more importantly, could enable the club to CLONE everyone so if they don't turn up, the duplicate STH can be brought out and PLONKED in their seat anyway.
This would also solve the issue over the pretendance.
Do ladies not attend matches then? I am sure I have seen one or two.
This thread must surely go GOLD

For the ladies, a cheek swab would probably do the trick.
Looks like my Mrs would never be able to get in then..
Which set of cheeks?

Are you quite a big fella then?
Why? Happens all the time on here. Please play the ball, not the man.
It's one thing to criticise the decision, quite another to make disparaging comments about a particular individual.
Why can't a ticket be sent to a mobile device and used on the gate for entry this way? It seems extremely antiquated that a ticket has to be printed in the first place (although a 20th century paper option is useful for some).
If a pdf ticket can be used, like airport boarding passes, then why is there £5 charge? It is greener, can be completely automated, minimising staffing cost, and is easier for the club and ticket holders.
Can you explain why, with such a supposedly state of the art stadium, we are stuck using a system and technology from previous centuries?
Put another way: why should the club bother ? If one decides to buy a season ticket it works the same way as a railway season ticket. Use it or lose it.. I would suggest that anyone who is bothered when they don't use their season ticket shouldn't buy one in the first place. The purchase doesn't come with an entitlement for refund of unused games. On the contrary, the relatively cheap game by game price is offered precisely because it is a commitment to pay for all games.
Its a good question.
I bought tickets on Stubhub for the baseball on the morning of the game. They sent the ticket to my phone, someone at the turnstile scanned the barcode off my phone screen with their little scanning gun, and in I went. Doddle. No paperwork faff involved whatsoever, could not have been easier.
