I find a gentle reminder of the current attendance records, league points , league placings, quality of manager, size of stadium, condition of stadium, strength of squad, desirability of hometown location & number of season ticket holders does no harm.

However, I never stoop to mentioning their administrations or the fact they screwed over the St.John Ambulance and local businesses and that only the leniency of the F.A. allowed them to remain in the Championship.

TheMajor we salute you :)

Nah it's beneath a club like us ,only relegated teams full of losers play down there.

crystal palace were relegated from the top division in 1973 and once again in the following season. That left the club playing in the third tier of English football for the 1974–75 season,

makes you a team full of losers by your own admission !!

We got into the same division and finished above them which was great. If we could now please take 3 points off them as well then that would be marvelous.

I do enjoy a bit of Palace baiting but it's become so ridiculously easy recently that it's lost a bit of its sport.

I will, nevertheless, continue even though it feels like kicking a man when he's down.

This quote from one of their owners may back this up!

"...there should be a strong team out at Aldershot - Palace get a share of the takings so we want as many of our fans there as possible!"

Could be a massive turnout from Palace - 8 (EIGHT) :D

And so they should panic - the last striker they signed on the cheap (a certain Mr Murray) turned out to be a lump of coal last season rather than a diamond !!!

 :D

He did score 6 (SIX) goals for them last season

Yup. Genuinely slightly sad after looking forward to the renewal of the rivalry last season, it was just far, far too easy. Expected much more of a fight.

I like this quote from BBS:

The club continues to lose money hand over fist, didnt 2010 say they covered a £3-4M loss last season? & that included the cup run! Why are we trialling that keeper? Is Speroni next of the "high earners" to leave?? 2010 want a sustainable future, which im pretty sure we all agree with,so unfortunately that means we have to cut our cloth accordingly & if we cant afford to sign the players we need & pay the going rate wages wise then thats that im afraid!

Maybe our future as a club does lie in League 1 or dare i say it 2!! With crowds down & freedmans negative tactics sending the rest of us asleep i cant see how we are gonna get them back! (Do you seriously believe he will change his spots & play open, attractive football this coming season!? I dont! More of the same i reckon! ). So we will have to sell just to survive,So maybe we will become the new Crewe, bob around the lower
leagues, occassionly making the Championship but basically having a great youth setup.
which produces Gems which we then sell on quickly.

Counterbalances some of the brainwashed individuals we have visiting here from that sorry club. :)

Wow, if people are getting erections from having higher attendances than Palace, just imagine the cumfest if we actually beat them in a football match.

I just love the fact that the love-in with Palace 'legend' Douglas Freedman is seriously on the ropes.

Yes we have them too...but not so many people who think BHA only existed since they moved to the Amex.A bit like those who think football started with the premiership...
