I love the way he says "football cloob", he sounds like Inspector Clouseau 
Aaaah. A Belgian monk! They are responsible for some very fine beers indeed. I have to admit to being particularly partial to some of the abbey brewed fruit beers - cherry in particular. That would explain the sugar of course and having quaffed a few extra strong beers one could be forgiven somewhat deficient oral discernment.
Often wondered if the expression to get "pissed" was from "Trappist"....
