Yes. Short sighted of LNER to only put on a five carriage train so it was absolutely packed with loads of people having to stand. They did apologise for it being so crowded “because of the football” yet that was precisely the reason they should have put on a bigger train. They must have known ages ago that there would be several hundred Brighton fans going back south by train. Wonder if the club talk to the train operators about this sort of thing? Otherwise it’s a good, fast service.

Did anyone really consider reserving the 1715. I didn’t even think about it. It was the 1815 all day long.
Lots of Brighton fans on the 17:45. To those that booked one of the cancelled trains hopefully you are aware you are entitled to compensation for the amount of the full fare for the journey - I received an automated email from LNER - Just one click needed to get the refund.

Our train up was cancelled, managed to get rebooked on the next train with a table. The three of us all got a refund for the late running service.
Train back was packed lucky we had a reservation.
