Couldn't care less about the bomber, the instant he left this country, in sound mind, for terrorism, he renounced his citizenship and has paid the ultimate price.

I do feel sorry for his family, they've lost a Son. However, I feel that ALL normal/moderate Muslims in Britain should be doing their utmost to detect and report any dubious (radical) Mosques or Preachers as this has likely been the cause of the loss of this man's life.

Based on your comments I think I probably do. I work closely with a lot of muslim families and whilst that doesn't mean I'm suddenly an expert in regards to their customs and beliefs, I do have an insight into their community. Thankfully all of the Muslims I work with are good people and aren't any different from you or I. The concept that British Muslims should have to protest or be apart of some other ridiculously conceived act of standing against extremism to appease people is ridiculous.

...and I work with a number of Muslims, all of whom admit that they have allowed subversive influences to infiltrate their places of worship and their communities and could have done more to ' root out ' this problem. Too many British Muslims bury their heads in the sand and say that there is nothing they can do about it.

Why not? Would it be that difficult to stand up and say 'Not in our name'? It's not ridiculous at all to stand up against extremism - and it wouldn't be to appease people at all; it would be to re-assure them. As long as the protests from the Muslim community are as muted as they seem at the moment, the perception will inevitably be in some people's minds that perhaps they don't think ISIS are all bad. That perception may be wrong, but the perception itself will be real, and that does not improve community relations.
I completely exempt this boy's family from that - they come across as extremely decent folk condemning ISIS and all it stands for. They have my sympathy at this time for their loss.

Try reading and not making assumptions because the posts don't fall in with your narrow view...and to communicate on your level...****

I'll be the second soppy git in that case. Nothing at all here to celebrate, this is just desperately sad as far as I am concerned - some impressionable kid (most of us have them), brainwashed/forced into it by cowardly extremists to kill himself and others. Family devastated.

You always get one soppy git....This lad made his choice and the more that die the better for us all:thumbsup:

I have more sympathy for the soppy git than a complete and utter ignorant to$$pot like you or the OP.

I heard some words of wisdom the other day of which you are the living proof: Bigots are usually totally ignorant about the subject they are bigoted about.

You can throw as much sympathy around as you like but the lad was a terrorist and has paid the penalty. Always seems to be a shock to the families when these kids disappear and reappear in body bags. Maybe the Muslim community should be trying to do a bit more in this country to root out the subversive influences that are recruiting these naive youngsters, rather than just continually, verbally condemn after the event. ( Its not all being done over the net )

With the radicalisation happening over here, then a suicide bombing could happen here, i wonder whether the sympathies of some would be the same. The lad went to join the terrorists and killed many innocent people........i know where my sympathies lie.

Maybe it's possible to give a sh1t about the bomber, his parents, his victims, the families of his victims, the witnesses of whatever he did, those who had to deal with the aftermath, those who live in fear about the same thing happening to them, those who live in fear of their own children being brainwashed like this, etc, etc, etc.

Its an interesting point...but I've not seen much sympathy for the actual bomber..but for his family.

Sadly you get the feeling they're supported well by the Muslim community and nothing will change.

I do not get that impression AT ALL. Have you ever tried going to talk to some Muslims?
