Some awesome apocalyptic weather out there right now

Just drove along the A27 with a quick Amex detour...ridiculous levels of rainfall going on all of a sudden, traffic moving along the dual carriageway at about 35mph. Very very dark out, & some epic thunder & lighting would have made for a quality Amex photo had I had a decent camera.

As it is, incidentally, the pitch heater/ light things are on, and there's a most eerie orange glow emanating from the stadium as a result if you approach from the east. My crappy iPhone camera doesn't quite capture the mysterious glow, but you can sort of see where I'm coming from...

My heart goes out to the brave souls camping opposite the King & Queen. I don't know quite why they are doing it but it's for the 99% of us who ae not in the other 1% and I really appreciate them doing this for me so I don't have to leave my warm room to sit on the muddy grass.
