Below are some stats and records - some interesting, some dull, some irrelevant, for your pleasure. Of course, some records are broken because we now play 46 rather than 42 matches - but a record is a record...

Club record: fewest defeats in a season - five. Previous best - six (2001-02)
Club record: fewest away defeats in a season - two. Previous best - four (1948-49)
Club record: most wins in the second tier - 24. Previous best - 23 (1978-79)
Club record: most points in the second tier - 89. Previous best - 75 (2012-13)
Club record: Equal highest goals for in second tier - 72. (Matching 1978-79)
Club record: Longest unbeaten run - 21 matches. Previous best - 17 (1987-88)

Most points (pro-rata) in the second tier - 89. Reducing the points total to two for a win, and by the factor of playing 42 rather than 46 matches, Brighton would have ended up with 59 points. Previous best - 56 (1977-78 and 1978-79).

Involved in the highest attendance (Middlesbrough v Brighton - 33,806). Third year in a row Brighton have featured in the highest attendance of the season.

Second highest second-tier league goalscorer for Brighton - Tomer Hemed 17. Highest: Bill Curry 23 (1959-60)

First goal of the season.

Equal top scorers in the division - with Burnley and Brentford.

Winning by at least four goals in consecutive matches - twice.

Highest league finish since 1982-83.

With Leicester City having won the Premier League, Brighton & Hove Albion is now the only club to have won the Charity Shield without ever having won the league or the FA Cup.

Other stats welcome.

This is all I can remember, how I got 15 for my first post I have no idea. Old age I think

Edit, just remembered Cardiff, as well, probably best forgotten

Second edit. Dirty Leeds at home. Really can't remember.

A non-Albion stat: which team had 2nd fewest yellow cards (50) and fewest red cards (none)...?

Yup, Burnley.
