Was going to start a new thread asking about Solly - then I found this one. Any more news anyone?

Was about to ask the same. Been out a lot longer than originally predicted which is always a worry.

Mate saw him in Eastbourne on Tuesday.

Asked when he's back, his words when asked were ''quite a while yet''.

I don't understand it, he only just failed a fitness test against Sheffield Wednesday yet he still hasn't featured, I think there's more to it.

I don't think that necessarily means there's anything sinister going on. Maybe he had a bit of back pain, they assumed based on his symptoms that it was a muscular thing, so decided not to play him. Further investigation then reveals something a bit more significant.

What is he- 19, 20? It's quite common for young players to develop bio-mechanical issues because of rapid growth in the late teens/early twenties. Look at Steven Gerrard and Ryan Giggs. Both were plagued with hamstring and groin injuries at the start of their careers. Once they realised it wasn't just a case of their hamstrings being a problem, but looked at the wider issue of their spinal and pelvic alignment, posture, that sort of thing, they were able to get to the root cause and manage them so that the constant muscular problems became less of an issue.

It's perfectly plausible that Solly could be in a similar position.

This is all perfectly plausible, intelligent even. But it would also be of use if the club could issue a statement every now and then, and The Argus pose a question or two -- and print any response too. We got it yesterday with Stephens. Given March is the only other mid- to long-term injury, yesterday seems as good a time as any to release such information.
There is always the thought that The Argus is stretching news to fill quiet days/periods.

I'm sure it was in the argus the other week that Solly March had a stress fracture in his spine, certainly explains why he's been out for so long.
