Here are ten things I wouldn't have done if I didn't follow the Albion.

Win a lion glove puppet from a tombola at a services on the way to York.
Watch the 1997 Eurovision song contest in a pub in Hereford.
Go to a cup final in a bright blue jumper with an FA Cup badge pinned to it.
Get my picture on the back page of the Guardian, sat on the terraces at York looking miserable BEFORE we lost!
Shelter from the snow in a pub in Wigan, full of Albion fans
Watch Torquay lose at home to Enfield (the same week we'd played at Plymouth on the Saturday)
Drive all the way to Huddersfield in the snow, laughing at all the other fans travelling to cancelled games, and us winning 3-1
Sit silently in the Home End at Ashton Gate as we win 1-0
Watch cricket in Burnley in the sunshine.
Share my dad's love of his home-town club

I'd never been able to throw the ball violently back at Graeme Souness from the East Terrace in the Div 1 years and get a good kicking from my dad for doing so.
