Decided to buy a season ticket for the Red Bulls - $300 for 15 games so $20 (14 quid) a game which is pretty good value as the new stadium is the dog’s doodahs. I know that the MLS standard is not fantastic - I’d say it’s about League 1 with a few teams up to championship – but it’s a good option for anyone needing their fix of live footy. Spurs, Man City and Sporting Lisbon will be playing friendlies there in July.
13,600 for Dallas was a bit shit though, eh.

Hopefully 19,000+ for the visit of the Philth.

Not as bad as 13,600 in the old 90,000 seater Giants Stadium! The FC Dallas game was surprisingly good – 2 penalties for Red Bulls, missed the first and scored with the second in the dying minutes. The RB goalie, Coundoul, pulled off some fantastic saves and would not look out of place playing for an English club.

Nor would JPA (except for that first pen, which was a great save anyway).

Bloom, get him in.

I like the idea of having a team in every league so have gone for the Seattle Sounders for no particular reason, other than that I like coffee and Seattle is famous for it.

Plus they have a kit like nobody in the English leagues

Sounders here. Sister is a season ticket holder for them - and works in the same office as the bint that ragged Ashley Cole. And Freddie is lush in pants.

Dallas have no fans for some reason and apparently never draw well on a Thursday night. But what a THRIKE from Freddy Montero there.

Apart from Columbus what are the firms like. We need an 80s Bulldog Style league table, perhaps done by the Klan.

ITKKK it could be called.

I reckon Texas are big on numbers like Leeds, Texas is the Yorkshire of America.

You will always have some nasty small town surprise packages like Burnley. Who are they. These questions need answering we can all guess the stadiums are nice and big.

You don't really get FIRMS in America. There has been small amounts of disorder at a couple of games apparently, but it isn't really part of their fan culture.

The height of fan violence and misbehavior in the States goes something like this:

Home crowd “You suck”
Away crowd “No, you suck”

Frightening stuff eh?

I do miss the edgy and witty banter you take for granted at an English game.

Under your skin.
Philly Union sounds like a type of Cracker.

I now follow the Sounders, that kit is

The Red Bulls won 2-1 against Philadelphia Union, the latest club to join the MLS. They are now top of the Eastern Conference. Another good game by Angel (penalty) with Ibrahim man of the match IMO. Disappointing crowd of 15,615 considering Philadelphia is just down the I-95. Looks like Luke Rogers will not be joining his old Notts County manager Hans Backe at Red Bulls due to work permit problems. There was a bit of crowd trouble when a few pissed up Jersey boys got slung out – very unusual for MLS, normally so well behaved.
