I assume that bit is tongue-in-cheek - the program was ok about 8 years ago, but it's completely repetitive and boring these days. Lovejoy was crap and a lick-arse to all celebs while trying to be one himself. Glad he is gone, but wouldn't watch it now anyway.

That article is a bit harsh. I thought he'd started to imporve. I started watching it again because of it. I find Helen more annoying, especially as she isn't so easy on the eye anymore.

Helen got more annoying because of Goldstein. Lovejoy put her in her place.

The jokes really did get awful after Lovejoy left as well, they persisted with the play on words jokes where they refer to sex.

Agreed. The format is very tired now, it needs a complete overhaul.
And no, that doesn't mean just changing the ball-through-the-hole props. Again.

The best bit is obviously Skills School, then Corssbar Challenge.
The shows sections are in itself great, but maybe the content and jokes within those sections is a bit off.

Goals from every league, interviews with players and managers from every league, celebrity guests, features on new technology, fans on the show, OB links to live games - it has it all

I love that it isnt fully concentrated on the Premiership

I wasn't at all bothered that Lovejoy had gone, I was more concerned about the staff he took with him to that Soccer USA thing such as the legendary Sheephead, Fenners, all the greats.
