I am in two minds on wether to bother. No tubes would mean a hell of alot of people legging it to the stations before and after full time. Im sorry but if Im going to watch a match I want to get my monies worth. Not leave 10-15 minutes before the end, AND then HOPE to catch a train.

f*** it, I'll wait till the ealry afternoon to see if a deal has been done and the strike is called off.
Really pissed off about this because I was looking forward to it. Greedy bastards, the boys and girls fighting wars in the middle east deserve a pay rise before these twunts.:censored:

Now the Strike has started, I doubt it'll stop now. If they offered a straight swap for the Belarus game in November, i'd snap it up - no question.

Not really that bothered about the game tbh, more club than country anyway. Just going for a few beers, and a day out. Bring it on.

Last-ditch talks to avert the strike finished tonight at 7.
The strike is going ahead - nothing will change tomorrow afternoon, as none of the workforce will be in place to suddenly get the service going.

I'd get a refund and watch it down the pub if I were you chap. At least your beer money's covered, in effect.

Well, we're only playing against a pub team, so its hardly going to be a classic. Just a bit of fun, but a complete waste of time truth be known. Junk like Andorra / San marino / Faroe Islands etc should have to pre-qualify in my opinion, rather than going straight into the groups.

But thats for another thread.

I've been looking at different ways to get to the stadium but not having much luck
TfL still say the tube is the best way:eek:
national rail's website is saying trains from Willesden junction in to Wembley are cancelled already.
Might have to be a cab share from central London!

Good luck getting a cab or getting cab driver who wants to drive anywhere near there.

There is a bus from Willesden junction to the stadium, but again getting on buses will be interesting tomorrow as is usual in a strike.

We're driving up early afternoon, managed to book one of the last six car spaces left at Wembley. Think it will be okay getting there but fully expect it to be traffic gridlock on the way home.

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear.

I didn't realise trains from Wembley to Willesden were cancelled.

Has anyone got any sensible ideas? I can't think.

Well I was going to go up with the missus on the train and spend the day mooching around London before making to Wembley for the match. Now we're driving up in the afternoon, pre-booked £25 to park at Wembley and see how it goes from there. We've never been to an England game before and it was part of my gift to her for her 40th B'day so I'm not bloody missing it!

How much were tickets for tomorrow?
I find it staggering people would pay the usual prices at Wembley of around £30-£40 to watch England play a meaningless game (they are through already) against a bunch of part-timers.

Fair enough i s'pose- not bad for Wembers.
Not being critical about people going to the game at all btw, i'd love to be that committed to England.
Too much emotional involvement in major tournaments has scarred me for life.

That's what we're thinking of doing, to be honest. Will just play it by ear, and see what's what.

I just hope we win either 4-0 or, 5-0.
