We're still a few players short of the number Dick Knight said. Who would you like to see here ? Sadly Currie looks to be out of the running and not so sadly so does Cullip. I wonder what Baz is doing now, shame about that but the fact that he's not been snapped up would tend to say that his Contract offer was reasonable for his level of ability. Frankly I'm not sure who is available but I can't see any decent strikers in our price range being available unless Carl Cort will take a huge pay cut.

Still, opinions would be interesting.

If we are serious about the play offs and going on the idea that we had to PAY for Forster it would look like a outlay of 150k is going to need to be spent. If that is the case then Murray at Rochdale would be a good bet.

I think that the reason Baz has not signed for a club is that the longer he can hang on the more chance he or his agent have of getting an overpriced deal. As an out of contrct player he can sign at anytime and is not subject to the transfer window. Come early Feb he will get the wages etc he wanted from us.

Players I would like to see come here are Flinders,Paul Furlong or a similar type player but preferably a bit younger than him.

If the stories are true about Bas wanting to be the highest paid player at the club then I can't see any League 1 or 2 clubs that would need him being able to pay for him - unless he reduces his demands. Sure, the top 3 or 4 could probably afford him - but would they want him?

a new GOALIE, lets face it Kuipers is old and we need a decent replacement sharpish.
A PROLIFIC goalscorer, every teams dream I know but it would be nice.
A new LEADER in the back 4, seems abit young back there for me, would like to see what weve done with that Falkirk bloke...get in an experienced Central Defender as poor old BUMMERS wont last much longer!

...of course we're not gonna get any of that but thats what I would like!

Kaka, Ronaldinho, Didier Drogba, Carles Puyol, Iker Casillas, Micah Richards

Only on loan, obviously. I'm not so stupid as to think we could actually sign them permanently.

We need to get real.

There isn't a club in the whole of the football league that would say on to a prolific scorer, it's hardly something unique to Brighton. So that area is going to be very competitive and we know it. I would like Flinders in on loan, a winger (possibly Currie) and a striker. I like the sound of this bloke from Rochdale but I am not certain on him. However, I think we have the forward power to do a job and score more. If we can get a decent winger in who doesn't just want to cross it from far out into the box but a winger who is more creative then that then we will have a lot more oppurtunities. We tend to suffer a problem of when a player gets the ball they tend to drift out wide and cross it in when, I have noticed, we tend to do better from direct shots: but players don't seem to a) want to do it b) hae the confidence to do it.

I agree that the Cullip era has passed and I think that door is closed but you can't say he's shit! He would be a good player for us I think. A player doesn't just become 'shit' in a couple of seasons, class is permanant form is temporary (as the irritating cliche goes).

How about Craig Mackail-Smith. You know that Peterborough striker. He got 7 goals in the first 2 rounds of the F.A. Cup. Forsters getting old so we need a replacement.

Errm I don't think the age of Forster matters as long as he's scoring. We certaintly don't need to replace him so I find that a stupid and idiotic post.

doubt we would be able to afford what peterbourgh paid dagenham for him let alone what they want now
