So who is the oldest surviving Albion player??

I haven't a clue and wouldn't know where to start to look but as mentioned on the "who should open the AMEX" thread it would be nice to think that they could be involved at the "Grand Opening".

If you're looking for someone about 90 years old then they would probably have been playing immediately after WW2. Narrows it down a bit, but haven't got a clue.

Now aged 86. Played 91 times for the Albion, before moving on to Chelsea and Leyton Orient. And he played for London in the 1955–58 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup (but, despite what Wikipedia says, not in the final which was won by Barcelona 8-2 on aggregate; Danny Blanchflower had replaced him by then).

Stan Willemse is a great call, together with a half-time interview, suitable questions could include, "Did you play in gloves on cold days? How would you have coped with David Beckham? Would he ever have walked again?"

I know he's passed away but would love to find out more about Peter 'Tug' Wilson... also Tommy Cook (all-time record goalscorer)...assume its the same Tommy Cook who played cricket for Sussex and comitted suicide in 1949?
