After a seemingly unending sequence of players making the leap from relative obscurity to recognition and insulting valuations from Top 6 podcasters ...... the only other real possibility currently in view in my opinion is Simon Adingra....... any others?

These aren't the players you're looking for.

Is he a Caicedo type replacement?.... should the worst happen, or is he more in an attacking role?

Moran is more attacking than Caicedo. In 15 PL2 games he has 6 goals and 6 assists. But he is only 19 and looks a bit lightweight, he needs time to bulk up like Mac Allister did when he first arrived.

I still think Gilmour, who is only 21, has the potential to play the Caicedo role. This is from a piece on the BBC website:

But with Moder, Kozlowski, Buonanotte and Ayari, we are not short of potential alternatives in the future.

I would class Buonotte (sp), Enciso and Ayari as still in the pipeline, personally - played a bit for the first team, but hardly famous yet. Rushworth, not quite so obscure, having apparantly been scouted bt Spanish giants, but doing the 'Sanchez route' very successfully.
Ed Turns, maybe - slotted straight into a high-flying Leyton Orient side on his first loan, now a regular starter (which wasn't the expectation of the fans when he arrived there!)

Ed Turns is at Leyton Orient in League 2.

He's doing alright. One of the better players in their team but will definitely need another loan. I presume he'll go to a upper half Championship club on loan next year.
This guy played for Poland in the last Euros. We should at least look at him pre-season before sending him out on loan again

Rushworth and Adingra are probably the most likely to come into the squad in the summer.

I wonder if de Zerbi will take a good look over Roberts - all that early promise but he seems to be hit and miss at Derby. Can play LB, LCB and DM.

Moran, Weir, Kozlowski, Turns, maybe even Ayari will gain more from playing another season on loan it seems to me.

Those whose loans have been a bit of a flop will probably be out the door. Football is a tough world

Completely agree with this. Gilmour seems to be settling well off the pitch and that hopefully means a strong foundation to kick on next season (and win his second piece of European silverware...) Also lets not forget Colombian international Steven Alzate - think he's going to have an interesting season next year under RDZ.

Carl Rushworth when he becomes our number 1 next season, after Sanchez leaves for Chelsea.
Does anyone have any knowledge about Rushworth's ability with the ball at his feet and his distribution?
Making saves isn't enough to be a top Premier League keeper these days, especially under De Zerbi.
