Why on earth did Dick Knight make it known that they were interviewing Gannon without first making sure he would take up the position. Now any Manager that is appointed will feel second best and if results don't go as wanted he will be out the door. We need a proven Manager who has an Assistant that can coach. He must also be given assurances that the appointment is for the long term - minimum May 2011. Come on Dick do the right thing and stand up and be counted and earn the respect of the Manager, the Club and more importantly the supporters who are also here for the long haul up the league and into the Championship.

It was Stockport that told the world that they had given permission for Gannon to speak to Knight. Knight was very cross about that on the interview with Harty

am i the only one that views Iain Dowie as a like for like for Adams, both were successful at the same time but both have failed since and both been sacked by Coventry.

Yes but at that time he said Gannon was only one of three candidates. Then the following day he came out and said that Gannon was the man he wanted, making it clear that he was his first choice.

It's funny sitting back reading all the various threads about who we do and don't want when it's obvious that alot of people are wearing rose tinted glasses! :nono:

Just for once (and think as someone who doesn't support the club) decide who we can realistically get? I can see us appointing from within until the summer and then depending on where we end up we could get a surprise appointment.

However if I was being positively realistic then an Atkins, Penney (Darlo Manager) or Pardew would be ideal for me.

However the problem will be whoever gets the job, there will be people moaning, just like the whinging inbreds who post on the Argus website, with fans like them, who needs enemies!
