I realise there is another thread but sadly that appears to be a bit of a bin fest.

Are people going to Hove Park or the Cricket Ground?

And does anyone know who far ir will go along Preston Road tomorrow? It goes by road transit at some point surely.

Enjoy.

Have no interest in it, in fact more concerned as to the traffic disruption. would be interested in a poll to see if its just me who just can't raise any enthusiasm for it, just don't see the point.
What exactly is there to see

Brighton Torch route

Early on Tuesday 17 July, the Olympic Flame will emerge from Brighton’s iconic Royal Pavilion to be transferred to the first Torch of the day. The torchbearers will carry the flame to the edge of the city, travelling along the A23.

The last torchbearer for Brighton & Hove will finish at the Deneway where the flame will enter the vehicle convoy as the Olympic Torch Relay moves on to the next location.

The first Torchbearer emerges from the Royal Pavilion at 7:20am Tuesday 17 July 2012

The first Torch is lit in the gardens on the east side of the Pavilion (viewing from the road near the Old Steine will be possible)

Saw it in Portsmouth yesterday, went to the evening celebration things. It was actually much better than I was expecting, was very enjoyable. They were sponsored segments from Samsung, Lloyds TSB and Coca-Cola, but none of them were "Heh, buy our stuff!" and were just fun performances. Rizzle Kicks were good as well, and it really was quite a nice moment when the torch came on stage and they lit the cauldron.

it being in Hove Park sounds a tad too close to a certain retail park for me.

anyway I've held it already

Unfortunately Tim none off the Torch bearers have a scooby that the field they are passing is called Toads Hole. Any way it's put West Blatchington on the map.
Miss Whiteman would be proud.
