I'm more looking forward to the one we do down the local though. All the teams get put into their own unmarked envelope. You buy one of these blank envelopes for a fiver, your name gets written on it, and it then gets kept behind the bar until the day of the World Cup Final.

On World Cup Final day you mince down the pub, get given your envelope to open, and find out who you've got. 2 lucky punters will then have the two finalists playing off for the prize. 32 x £5, so £160 in the pot, I think they do £120 to the winner and £40 to the runner up.

OK, so you go through the tournament not knowing who the hell you've got, but it makes for a bit of excitement all the way through thinking you MIGHT still have a team in the final. Yay.

Top work! I am also in the Algeria club. We have a £25 prize for worst team though so I am in with a shout. A mate got Iran though so looks favourite at the moment
