Still desperately need that second proper striker.
Still desperately need that second proper striker.
Never been a fan of "the next x games' threads, but I definitely agreed the next 3 games (Norwich, BC, Villa) could be season defining.
BC will not be an easy game by any stretch, and the points swing against Villa could be crucial in writing off their chances of catching us, beyond the inexplicable.
7 points I wanted, and we're emphatically on track.
Seemed less urgent with Murray on song and Hemed looking good when he came on but there is always the possibility of losing either to suspension or injury.
Still desperately need that second proper striker.
Another good striker would be nice. However, I wouldn't say that a team with a GD of +14 and has just beaten an ex-premier league rival 5-0 is desperate for another striker.
What's really impressive is:
4 central midfielders who we can rotate without fearing the team is weakened,
4 central defenders (as above).
4/5 wingers (as above).
4 lb/rb's who are all very good.
So yes, goal scoring looks to be our possible vulnerability, but if we keep the CS record going as it is, then even without an prolific striker force, we'll still be doing fine (IMO).
Still desperately need that second proper striker.
This is my biggest concern. I said on another thread that, if Elvis goes in January, we'll need to bring two strikers in.
Leeds are an appallingly run club. It'll be a miracle if they make top 6.
