No, it’s not the beginning of a season in the Championship with Hughton or the beginning of the season in League 1 with Poyet or even the beginning of the season in League 2 with McGhee.

It’s the biggest football division on the planet and the best team on the planet is holding us off top spot on goal difference.

Yes, of course, ‘only the beginning of season yadda, yadda and yadda’!

But what’s your mojo level this evening?

I’m a solid 9/10 with some room for more happiness if we grab a few new quality signings next week.

This thread needs a Poll!

I'm 9/10. Great football, really solid signings have given us a strong starting 11 and much better bench.

Just need to finish more of the chances (Solly) and keep Welbeck fit.

Nah, if you’re not eight or above there’s something wrong with you. We need a bit of angst for a mojo poll, too many fickle fans otherwise

I’m an emotional rollercoaster kind of football supporter …. I chose the wrong hobby :lolol: So with that caveat:

9.5

TB signing a quality/top flight proven backup for Welbeck in this window, would make it a 10.

I can’t recall ever being less concerned about our future, everything’s rosie in the Albion garden. Walking past the ES pre match the giant outside doors opened, revealing the stunning WS packed the rafters with supporters. Great times.

Probably 8/10.

I just look at October fixtures coming up and we have a run of tough games.

The football is amazing, and the squad are clearly very united. I am trying to keep my feet on the ground as whenever I get excited, things seem to turn to shit.

When I looked at the fixtures, I reckoned 4 points from this opening fixtures. Critics might say that we played Man U and West Ham in bad form, but then again, we’ve just outplayed played The Leeds that beat Chelsea 3-0 less than a week ago.

Pretty ****ing low. After years of shit we finally get everything coming together and it lasts what? A week or so, before some moneybags pulls the rug out from under our feet. It was always going to happen but at least one great season would have been nice.

10…. I was at the 3-4 home defeat to Rochdale at Withdean on the coldest, wettest night I can recall. It’s never been better but of course I hope GP stays!

Probably about Zero now with the prospect of Potter going to Chelsea.

It'll bubble along below 2 until we find a replacement if he leaves - but I have terrible worries that will be a Hyppia 2 appointment and all the good work will come crashing down.

Oh well. The good days will be back at some point.
