I thought he looked decent tonight, Arial threat, good link up play and never gave up with the amount of running he did.

Personally he should start against city as our outlet

Ignore the sitter, we obviously train for this as a club

So far, he looks very similar to Aaron. He's a positive influence in terms of his energy, movement and hustle. However, he's probably not got as good a first touch or finish as our other strikers (bar as low as it is).

It was a bold decision to play him after he was written off against Sheffield United.

I thought he looked OK.

Some nice play, some mistakes.

Pretty much to be expect from a young player in one of his first appearances at the highest level during such an intense game...

Look forward to seeing more of him as he grows in confidence.

This. Let's give him a chance before we write him off (or announce him as our saviour).

If anyone really wants to write him off after the little time he’s had on the pitch, they’re morons.

Probably the same ‘fans’ who offered to drive Dunk to Fulham.
Or said the March is not a wing-back/premier league standard.
Or said that Webster was shite.
Etc.

Not inspired by that, but he is a completely untested youngster from a joke league, and has no business being in a Premier League squad at this stage in his career.

I'd much rather have had Murray available to bring on.

Played as a target man and it worked. Just like it used to work with Murray.

Hopefully he'll start against Newport.

The minutes (albeit against lower-level opposition) would do him good, I think.

The sitter wasn't actually that easy. Bouncing up. Not sure many players would find a way of keeping that down. Sitter because of distance from goal but technically quite hard. The chance at the end for the Wolves kid...now that's a sitter.

Stunning headed pass to Maupay before then Frenchman was tripped for the penalty.

Agreed. Lovely little deft cushion-header down to Maupay from a long-range pass that led to our pen.

Where he frustrated me was in NOT taking that chance of a first-time finish from the low cross. Took a touch, and of course the chance was gone. He HAD to swing at that first time. But he looked promising.

I think it's far too soon to judge him, but I think calling it a sitter when there is a defender and goalkeeper in the way seems a bit harsh.
