Look in the word association game....

However your response indicates im right... quite bitter palace didnt go down arnt you?

Not even in my edited response could you construe that. Not bitter at all.

Football's about irrational passion and the headrush of seeing your side win on the last day would send most normal football fans into a maelstrom of emotions. Enough to want to be out and celebrating. Not for this Nigel though.

I was genuinely surprised to note your post count. you must be in the top 5 posters on this forum yet you don't even support them and they're not even a rival. And I genuinely couldn't remember one post or thread of yours. How odd, I thought. Hence the response.

I went through a period of about 7 years where i used to go to most albion games home and away, even had a season ticket both years at gillingham and withdean, most my posts were in this time.

Fair enough. I take back what I said then about you.

couldn't get a ticket likewise the other 20 thousand that tried

You were in South Yorkshire earlier in the season at Barnsley . Please don't tell me that the 400 you took that day didn't miss out on tickets today like you ?

... after such an appalling underhand train crash of a season. Bizarre.

The fact they're on here instead of celebrating with their own speaks volumes for an underhand admiration. It's certainly a back-handed compliment.

Meanwhile, I'm going to return to my mild indifference to their survival.

What do we expect?!! The number of threads & posts on here every week wishing they'd fail etc it's pay-back time for them and richly deserved. Nothing wrong with that, shows they care.

Hold on, are you really saying this??

I live in Brighton and for the first time in years, I've finally heard Brighton fans give some banter back in what was supposed to be us getting relegated.

Brighton have done sod all for a few seasons now so surely us getting relegated would be the highlight of your season would it not? There's been talk on here of your supporters going to Hillsborough for a Palace Relegation Party!

It's by no means been a success story this season for us. But it's been a fantastic one in many ways. We've had to survive on a threadbare squad all season, cruel luck from officials and losing our manager and 2 best players. Despite all this we've survived and the supporters have been the best since I can remember.

Roll on 2010/2011 with new owners. It's just a shame Brighton are so bad that they can't be there to join us eh?

Won't argue with the 1st two paragraphs, but will take you to task on the last 3 because if you're trying to compare your merely difficult season with what BHA have been through since the early 90s then you've seriously come to the wrong club pal. The misery you've endured by comparison is simply semi-professional - we're Champions League. No other team in England has got remotely close to the pain and anguish BHA have suffered as a result of near criminal activities 2 (TWO!) decades ago. It's laughable to even compare. I can only suppose you don't know your BHA history. Still, that all changes in Aug 2011. We're back, and we're back on an even footing at last

I do know of your ridiculous recent history, I walk past the that eyesore which used to be your ground everyday, oh how I miss taking a piss on those turnstiles...

I wouldn't wish to compare this season on your past problems. Ours are esculating extremely fast though and unless the CPFC2010 consortium take the club over asap, today survival could be immaterial.

My reason for posting on this subject though was that the original poster was trying to make out Brighton don't care and this is Palace's season highlight, if we'd lost today, my phone would be going off non stop with Brighton fans calling me, I haven't heard a peep from any of them which is actually a bit sad.

Complete and utter BOLLOCKS !!!
I have a few palace supporting friends - most of whom are not season ticket holders and they all got tickets.

the 6k allocation sold out very quickly so there would have been many like myself who were unable to purchase away tickets a match as big as today(in which we won)would have had far more demand that could not be met

I was there, it did sell out pretty quickly in the end but being Palace, it was always going to go down to the last game and people should of realised that!

It was a shame the police wouldn't allow us the corner as well because we would of easily taken more but so would most teams for a crunch game like that.

Congratulations Palace on cheating your way to a 20th place finish, achieved by spending other peoples money on players you couldn't actually otherwise have afforded, I'm sure organisations like St Johns Ambulance are really happy that your club used their money to achive this rather than your paying them what you owed, thus allowing them to use their money to continue their good work.

Had your club lived within its means over the last few years i doubt it would still have been in the Championship before this season started, and certainly wouldn't have finished above 3 other teams this season who haven't cheated their way to safety, points deduction or not.

Enjoy your hollow success

But according to your earlier post 20,000 missed out therefore Palace would have taken 25,700 up there? Hmmm.
