So is the Fulham move just what Bobby needed?

Clearly was not going to necessarily be a first choice regular starter at West Ham. I thought Curbs preferred him to Carlton Cole, but maybe not.

New club. First choice striker. Still in the Premiership. Could be just the move he needs to bang in some goals again, get himself recognised and, who knows, get into the England squad.

Zamora for England?

Yes to the first bit

As for the England bit, i think not. Although i did read that Bobby said this week he thinks he is better than Dean Ashton

Have to agree about the Ashton bit,and how Carlton Cole and ANY Premiership team figure in the same sentence is beyond me.The latter sentence excepted,of course.

yeah same agree with the first bit about staying in the prem with a decent team but he will never get into the england sqaud he missed his massive chance when west ham rejected a bid from man u a few seasons ago but im really happy he has gone to fulham so he can play week in week out :albion2:

According to the sun Fulham are supposed to be "swooping " on AJ from Everton for 10.5 Million if that were the case then Zamora might be behind AJ in the pecking order, although both would be starters when fully fit!

looks like a pretty decent strike force to me both can score 15+ goals

I think he might have been better off at Palace, but Fulham's probably as good.

I wouldn't completely write off his England chances. Capello has no preconceptions, and if Bob is playing regularly and scoring, he might just sneak into a squad or two. Not saying he'll start or anything, but Capello might just have a little snifter.

I agree totally with that, Capello has already tried a number of options with his captain, I get the impression that any English player at the top of his game is in with a shout.

Can't be arsed to look but have Fulham signed anyone else? They only escaped relegation on the last day last season and must - with the promoted clubs - be one of the favourites to go down, and Al Fayed can't bail them out for ever.

Still if Bobby performs well and has a regular place it might keep him in the shop window for another move.
