So is Boxing Day's game THE game of the season?

I for one will be giving Dean Hammond an applause when he comes back to the Withdean - it is the least he deserves after being S**t on by Dick Knight - the man that "never rated him much"

I agree. Wilkins had just bought Thomson to play next to him. When Thomson plays next tiothe right player and is asked to do what comes naturally he looks a class act. I would have liked to see Hammond and Thomson together inthe middle of the park with Wilkins managing them. sadly we never had that opportunity. Look what we've got instead.

I first heard faint "Adams out" cries at Carlisle, if we lose to Colchester they will be much louder.

I for two will applaud Dean Hammond. My view is he was a classic case of DK losing it. Here was a player who had come through the youth ranks, was a decent player and was captaining the side. But apparently he didn't deserve to be paid what he was worth. So short sighted, and also a real shot in the head for youth development. This also eventually lead to losing the manager that was respnsible for developing the best youth set up and players this club has ever had.

If notches the winner on Boxing Day I wouldn't be surprised to see him celebrate in front of Dick Knight in the North Stand.

Just another example of an out of touch chairman.

And yet the man who brought him in will get off scot free? When will we hear Knight out calls?

Seriously thinking of side stepping this fixture due to no trains etc but I think it may well be worth it for the crowds reaction even if we did loose. It will be worse than anything witnessed in recent years IMO

if we loose boxing day we are well in the shit and i reckon fans will really turn on adams, could well be the end of Micky cos i just cant see him turning this around.......and as has been mentioned on other threads could Micky be trusted with any funds in the transfer window?

Totally agree. That game will be the turning point for fans if we lose. It's a massive game for Adams. That means 1 up front and a load of defenders in midfield.

Colchester's away record is better than their home record.

They have won 5 from home this season.

We're f***ed then !!!!!!!!!!!!:thud:

I don't think that Boxing Day will be the Albion's game of the season, but I certainly think it is Micky Adam's game of the season, anything less than a win and he is going to find it very hard to justify his position as manager of the team.

If that is the case then I hope the team get it in the neck too, apart from half a dozen games they have been f***ing abysmal.

I get the feeling our next two games will determine how the rest of the season will go. If we can't muster a win against either of them, we are in deep, deep trouble.

agree.....the buck stops with Micky but some of our players need to take a good look at themselves and ask themselves if theyve given 100% The whole team and coaches and manager are all responsible for our piss poor league position!!!
