We were thinking about you earlier today and wondering how on earth you managed to keep going through everything at the start of this year. It is difficult to imagine how you got your lives going again. We are glad you did.

Anyone who doubts whether or not an Internet messageboard can be anything other than a excuse to post rubbish from behind the protection of a keyboard should take a few minuets to look at the stuff posted after Anastasia died.

RIP Anastasia - you are in our thoughts

Here's to next year

Absolutely Hiney. I read and reread the piece you wrote frequently. We keep it in a box with a few other things people wrote and readings from the funeral. This forum was a wonderful support to us, my whole family. Not just immediately afterwards but in the time since as well.

And thank you.

British Bulldog - I am sorry for your families loss, I hope we find that time makes things a little easier for us. I am the same way with the songs and seeing children with the same shoes/coat and stuff.

Sorry can't work out the multi quote thing.

And thanks everyone! Just with Christmas and then it being a year since she passed away it's just rough. But she's somewhere watching over us of that I am sure.

brighton, actually
i forgot to add mine- a mixed year, ending with some hope.

it started rough, with after effects of a chest infection- i really hate taking pills, so it lingered more than it should have done.

the time off work meant a huge backlog when i did get back. and i never really caught up, which caused more stress & illness.

40th birthday came and went.

i left by 'mutual consent' in May, had a month off to relax (and a long overdue holiday, though mostof the time was spent snoozing by the pool, in between world cup matches on the tv).

job hunting started properly in June, increasingly frustrated as nothng really suitable. that kicked off more depression, worrying about the rent, bills, etc.

started to really lose the plot a bit, until this new job came up.

so if you you are feeling down, and think it cant get any worse..

it sounds corny, but tomorrow really is another day- aim to have something to do each time you get up.

whatever happens, never lose hope. if you do, you're stuffed!

'Positive Mind, Positive Body' by desprateseagull is not available in any good bookshop, priced £999.99....

:salute:
