Kuipers has been one of our "better" players this season - wasn't he given a 2 year contract?

He was.

Cullip4 you have answered my question if he was really any good he would be getting some bids in for him.

:thud:

That's a good way of primarily judging a player's worth.

Incidentally, do you know for a fact that no-one has enquired after him?

I think that if the management have any faith in Sullivan at all, they should display it now by playing him in the next St Johnstones Trophy match.

If they haven't then competition for Michael Coopers is required, just to keep him on his TOES, like.

What's to say Sullivan isn't providing real competition? Just because he's not playing, it doesn't mean he isn't.

And Micky is taking the JPT very seriously, which means - by and large - putting out his best team.

This is one one of the things that really annoys me about NSC, what a stupid comment, If Michel is reading this how do you think he feels??

What does Kippers bring to the table? Well Michel Kuipers is an absolute legend and has kept us in so many matches with some absolutly world class saves, he is probably one of the best shot stoppers we have ever had and certainly the best in the division. Added to that he is probably one of the nicest blokes you will ever meet

So he cant kick straight and he makes the (very) occasional mistake, if he did not he would certainly not be here, he would be playing in the Premiership!!!

:lolol: This is the bloke we couldn't give away we're talking about. Legend my arse. A legend cares about whether the team wins or loses unlike Kipper who is known for laughing when Brighton concede a last minute goal. Hardly legend material now is it.

Well yes, it's the only thing we're in any danger of doing well in this year.

left before he is replaced. Apart from that penalty save against Man City what does he bring to the table?

You don't get to games much then?

We've got a more naturally agile keeper than any team in the division. He stops certain goals by performing contortions so regularly that its taken for granted. Shouldn't be. OK, he has a bit of a head-mental streak, like every other keeper worth his salt, and goes off on the mazy dribble occasionally, with mixed success, but he's already seen off a couple of dozen claimants to his throne. So much so, that the club has given up on spending money on a back-up - and second choice Sullivan is nearly halfway to his own testimonial with nothing to show for it but splinters in his arse

Decent keepers dont need to think about retiring until they reach 40.

He still got a role to play, in supporting Sully on the bench in case he gets injured.

Oh Adams does not have a keeper as sub, does he:rolleyes:

mackrel capers is a good keeper. But there is a simple fact that no team above us has ever tried to sign him.

also most teams have very good keepers, so I'm not quite sure how people judge him the 'best in the division'.

personally I thought roberts & Flinders were better than him.

Why's it such a black or white world on here?

Sullivan has been given a good run, so that he will stay encouraged and mentally sharp. Given a taste for the first team, on the big stage if you like - the right thing to do was to keep playing him....since he has proved to be very good on his debut.

IF we had lost by a lighter score tonight, I believe he'd be back in the reserves to give the place back to FDM - however, after a potentially demoralizing loss when he still played well, he ought to be given another game before Michel comes back in.
