I feel really flat just thinking about what might have been. However we still have Europe to fight for so at least there is that and we have a game very quickly to bounce back.

Very sad. what a sign of how far we’ve come that I am upset we lost to Manchester United, one of the biggest teams in the world. And we matched the, every step of the way.

Need a good result on Wednesday to cheer Us up. Europe is still very much ours to lose wither weekend results and the games in hand.

Looking forward to revenge. I hope we can sing "we support our local team" at the Amex and silence those entitled tw@ts. I fvcking hate manure.

Yes. Better than "Just like Brighton, your city is blue" because I don't particularly think much of Citeh either.

Resigned. Europe via league position was always the priority since FA Cup runners up no longer qualifies so no change there. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, or say they say.

Nowhere near as bad as post-Spurs, as others have said, due to the sheer unjustness of that result. Feel most sad for our boys who just couldn't quite make it over the line this time. And devastated for Solly, I'm so fond of him, and what happened yesterday was just so harsh. But he's a top guy, and has a great manager and team mates to help bring him swiftly back to his imperious self.

Borderline depressed tbh, I haven’t felt this low for ages, Alexa has been told to f*** off 4 times. :annoyed:
I’m sure Solly feels 100% worse though.
I once told Cortana to do the same. She responded 'Have I upset you ?'

Oh, come on. I hope your boss has told you to think about it.

Flat but positive. We went toe to toe with one of the world's biggest clubs for 2 hours in a pressure match and outplayed them for long stretches. That's something to celebrate. If we'd got through, history suggests league form could tail off in the approach to a Cup Final we'd be 90% certain to lose. As it is, every motivation remains to nail the top 6 finish we deserve. I'd happily take 6th and an FA Cup semi-final as better than 8th and a Cup Final defeat. Just need to crack on.

Neither here nor there
It's OK. Players gave it their best shot and penalties are a lottery. Someone had to make a mistake and maybe it was for the best that it was a player who is widely loved and has been playing the football of his career.

I think most of us actually thought we would win yesterday, so there is a slightly sobering reality check settling in.

Looking forward to Wednesday. Not nearly as sore as after the Spurs robbery.
Nailed it. It's a dissapointing way to lose (on pens) but with City in the final and another trip to Wembley avoided it's not all bad. I'm worried about the shape of the squad heading into Wednesday though - the lads looked shattered at the end yesterday and injuries are seemingly mounting up.

Have a feeling we might see Ayari on Wednesday and maybe a couple of other less-established players. Not ideal but would make sense at Forest and get everyone firing again for Wolves at home.

I feel a bit like that. We were the better team. Injuries meant we had one of our more effective midfielders playing right back. We had to start a teenager at Wembley who is yet to play 90mins in a game. When Welbeck had to go off, we only had our 3rd choice striker fit.

They were able to bring on Fred, Sancho, Malacia, Sabitzer and Weghorst. Fred and Sancho alone cost £130m or so. But whether they are any good or not, that is 5 experienced well drilled players. They also have a lot of Wembley experience, how to handle the occasion, the pitch etc.

Hopefully pick ourselves up on Wednesday, Forest look to be fighting for their survival and it's going to be a very tough game.

A bit flat but I think that is mostly due to it being a long day and I am not as young as I used to be. Will definitely make it a beer free day for Forest and hope we can win. Will be a tough game though.

Que sera sera.
Whatever will be will be. If we had got to the final. It would’ve messed up out holiday travel, so meh.
I doubt we’d beaten City anyway.
