it seems like Yeovil are trying to become the new Brighton.

Richard Martin, Sam Williams & Dean Bowditch all with them at the the moment. Not forgetting Nathan Jones as well.

It'll be interesting to see how they do this season as they have also managed to get two very promising Spurs players on season long loan deals.

They also seem to have a player called George O'Callaghan, wonder if that is the same one?

Yup

Yeovil Town took on another trialist as part of tonight's match against RRFC Montegnee. The player concerned is George O'Callaghan, who is a 29 year old attacking midfielder who was born in Cork in the Republic of Ireland on September 5th 1979.

He has most recently been playing for Dundalk in Ireland having been released by Tranmere Rovers midway through last season. He started his career as a Youth Team player with Port Vale, spending six years at Vale Park, including three as a professional. He then spent five years with Cork City, clocking up 150 appearances and 23 goals. A move to Ipswich Town in 2006 saw him spend 1.5 seasons at Portman Road including a loan spell with Brighton and Hove Albion before he returned for a second spell with Cork City. That was then followed quickly by last season's spells with Tranmere and Dundalk.

Rated as an attacking midfielder, he can also play up front, and has recently been linked with moves to Greece and Malta. He played the second half of tonight's match in Appledore, which the Glovers won 5-0. Full details on that match will follow shortly.
