Based on yesterday's performance, not yet.

We failed to dominate the game. The first half was particularly ordinary.

We need a better goalie. Casper and the defence are just not clicking. The guy makes me nervous. Not sure Brezovan is the answer either.

The defence should be OK with Greer back providing he can learn how not to get sent off.

Midfield. With Sparrow back we will be stronger plus we need Lua Lua or similar.

Strikers. Definitely need one more proven goal scorer. Murray did very well yesterday and his partnership with Barnes looks promising. But one more front man is a must.

I agree. Delighted that we got the 3 points - and pleased next Sat's game is off as we'll have longer to re-group and hopefully take a look at the new lads in training. It was very apparent we're 3 / 4 players short in our squad yesterday and our lack of width was obvious.

Failed to dominate, but won.
Need a better keeper, but still conceded fewer than we scored, and arguably only conceded because of a freak lax pass from Kish and a ref who didn't react quick enough to get out of the way of said lax pass.

I know it's not a great sample size, but after four league games we have a points average that will result in 80 points this season. That was enough for a play off finish the last 4-5 seasons, at least.

I think we are an 8th to 10th team as it stands. But this is progress, if we had the funds for 3 more quality players, we would be a threat. I am happy to build rather than expect too much right now. I dud suffer from pre season over optimism. OH SO, ER NO.

This is a top ten squad, possibly top 6/7.

I'm not sure why people expect us to go and dominate the game, in this league there's very few teams I'd expect us to come out and dominate in the way that leeds did to us last season. The gap in quality just isn't there.

Walsall were a good organised side and came to stifle us, we just lacked the creativity to break them down in the first half.

Played 4, won 2, drawn 1, lost 1 = 7 points from possible 12
This is 1.75 point per game which means we would have 46 x 1.75 = 80.5 points by the end of the season.
That would have left us last season in maybe 6th or 7th place.

Put Navarro (when fit) alongside Sparrow and Lua Lua instead of Monkhouse then we are a seriously good SQUAD. Your team there shows that we are so close to having a superb team.

Lua Lua, Striker and a utility defender will take us from 9th/10th to 4th/5th/

Not yet no. Our bench (after an injury and 2 suspensions) is terrible. Improve the strength in depth and then we can mount a stronger challenge for the playoffs.

Don't think it'll be this season though

First XI with a left winger added I think is good enough to compete with anyone in the league and get at least play offs. When it comes to injuries/suspension we are/and have struggled.

We have a very good team in my opinon we need greer along side Elphick and Brez back in goal. Once we have them and Sparrow to improve a very good midfield then i think we are going to be contenders. The biggest problem is one injury in certain places makes us look very dodgy at times. We could use that new striker too but i think we will be ok without as long as injuries dont occur to often.

We won and I dont think we got out of 2nd gear yesterday. A key midfielder and centre half missing. I think as it stands we are a top six side. With a striker and Lualua we will be a major force. No team is going to put a lot passed us imho, so as long as we can find the net we are going to win a load of games this season. We could have won by 4 or 5 yesterday. I can see some teams geting a real canning off us this season.

To be honest we were lucky not to be losing at half time yesterday. Centre halves looked very shaky and good easily have cost us one or two goals.
