Lucky, yes.
Looking great in periods of games, yes.

But also.

Difficult opening fixtures, yes.

To play 2 of the established big 6, plus away to Everton on an opening day, and to get 7 points, is amazing. Not many teams have had a tougher set of fixtures as that. We now have 2 home league games in a row that you'd expect we'd win. If we can deliver in those games too, then I will start to believe. 3

Top 6, I would say, is tough, but achievable.

As good a thread as any in which to highlight some interesting stats found on the PL's website for the current season:
  • We are joint second with Ipswich for fewest times dispossessed (21). Only Palace have been dispossessed fewer times (20). We are not being bullied by the opposition as much. That said, Pedro has personally been dispossessed seven times, making him the league's joint-eighth most dispossessed player
  • We are joint second with Liverpool for fewest yellow cards received (4). Only Everton have received fewer yellows (3). Decent discipline from the lads
  • We have missed just three big chances, as many as Palace, Everton, and Newcastle. Only Leicester and Ipswich (1) and Fulham (2) have missed fewer big chances, though these sides have likely struggled to generate any to start
  • We are in sixth place for number of passes (1,523 -- not sure if this figure includes all attempted passes or just those completed), having finished the previous season in second in this regard. We are attacking on the break a lot more instead of faffing about with the ball
  • We are in sixth place for offsides (84). While we are effectively employing the offside trap, we could stand to be better at avoiding it ourselves

We've got Bournemouth and Fulham in 2 of our next 3 games - both of those are away and going to be very, VERY tight. Apart from that though, every single game until the last one of the calendar year is outright winnable.
