Personally I keep out of the way of politics etc on NSC, as I don't really know what I'm talking about TBH.
I do have opinions on some things, but prefer to keep them to myself.
If im peoples ignore list ICGAFF
Each to their own.

Oooh, how funny! Permission to use ICGAFF please?

I didn't move it, but to quote the mod who did move it (who by the way has very nice balls) "I've just moved pastafarian's latest effort into TOS as it was simply a "son of" (BLM) with the usual suspects arguing, under the guise of a poll.

If you don't like the way NSC is run, feel free to set up your own message board like others have done in the past.

I voted seven. After the last GE many on the centre-left/left of politics felt a bit crushed and hopeless so couldn't be arsed to argue but the governments rather problematic performance getting to grip with the pandemic plus labour now having a vaguely competent leader has given them fresh hope. Lockdown fever has definitely added to the toxicity and some have got a bit too excitable but there you go.

Helpful hint if you don't want to get a thread binned off to the other stuff just start one criticising the government/Tories even if it's making exactly the same point as numerous others :D

The irony of one of NSC's most toxic posters complaining about the amount of toxic posters wasn't lost on me. This is textbook troll-like "look at me!" behaviour. Luckily I only ever have to read his shit when he puts it in his thread titles. The ignore function is a powerful tool.

Perhaps we should have added hypocrisy to the thread title?

Since you are going to be toxic can you at least say what toxic level you voted. you could be a good test cast for toxicity

I voted 6.

Am i being cast as toxic just because I am critical of the government? Had I expressed support for the government, would I be non-toxic?

As a reflection of today's politics, I am deeply suspicious of just about everybody and their motives at the moment.

Bless.
For the record I have no issue with how NSC is run and am grown up enough to realise it’s a private board and I am only permitted to continue posting as long as I abide by the rules.
For example I dont mind the casual racism directed at white people with the derogatory use of the word Gammon. Not my board, not my rules and I respect the moderators decision to allow it. Its good to know who they are anyway.
I was simply making a comment, that it would be nice if when a thread is moved someone could be polite enough to say it has, and why. Seems to me this would inform people as to what cannot be posted. Cant be too hard surely.
In the same vein, and this was the only thing I ever agreed with plooks on, if someone is banned from a thread why not say x or y has been banned from a thread, no reason needs to be given why but users can easily see, ok that was unacceptable and resulted in removal.
You could prob cut down significantly on the binfestry by just letting people know that who ever it is has been removed from a thread.
Just an observation.

In conclusion, I am perfectly happy here, have no intention of setting up my own board, wouldn’t know the first thing about doing it anyway and have enough problems juggling porn and football online as it is without having to sacrifice the former.

.

No idea, only you can answer if you are cast as toxic.
It was more to do with NSC seemed to be at each others throats on everything.
Its somewhat calmed down now due to the bear pit

Me too.
Especially fake news, applicable to all sides. Its a toxic time bomb unleashed by social media and i dont think the cat can be put back in the bag.

I saw someone post utter rubbish on here tonight about something, probably learnt on twitter or facebook and i just cant even be bothered to point out the truth. These sort of lies add to mistrust and are completely divisive, whether intentional or not.
