When you have had someone close to you die because of second hand smoke you may think differently. Hopefully the child coughing nearby was ok or doesnt that bother some ppl

Dude, as we speak there are children living in a subterranean hell waiting for russian soldiers to exterminate them. Get some perspective, grow some testicles, walk to the other carriage if you need to, but above all enjoy one of our best ever wins at home without batching and moaning about something trivial.

I'm with the original poster on this one. Smoking on a train is vile and needs calling out.

Soon after 'the ban' came in, I was lucky enough to go and see the Led Zep reunion at the O2. The smell of weed in the air was strong, yet I found myself standing next to two American anti-smokers. They soon moved - there's a time and place to complain, that wasn't one, neither was today.
A seriously pathetic whinge from the OP who probably isn't even celebrating our historic win.
Don't be like him/her.

I'll be exactly who I want to be where and when I want and won't be taking lessons from you.

To the selfish smoker in burgendy jumper on 1950 falmer to Lewes (appeared to be with another male and female) your details are with Sussex Police & will be passed onto railway. A child with asthma wasnt enough to stop this inconsiderate ****

Grow up. Imagine snitching to the police over something so bloody petty then putting it on here after thrashing those ********s 4-0. WOW.

The fact you use the term ‘calling out’ is quite telling.

Maybe after the trauma of it all, you could reach out for support?

For someone so frequently obsessed with language on here, I'm also quite happy to call someone a #### if you are more comfortable with that.

Smoking kills

So we beat Man U 4-0 YES Man U 4-0

And you worry about some bloke having a fag..

Get a life.
Get a life!?! Is it really too much to ask people to respect a law? Being an asthmatic is no joke. I am appalled so many people on this site seem to think this is ok behaviour.

It was okay on this occasion, seeing as it was a single person, on a train, after a fabulous result. So, yes.....'get a life', as it won't do you (or the OP) any harm at all.
Jeez....how do some people cope, generally?

Yeah, imagine being so ****ish you can't last a ten minute journey without smoking on a packed train.

With all due respect, I'll chuck in a "imagine being so paranoid that you are unable to cope with someone having a smoke", on the way back from an amazing result.

How did you manage before the smoking ban - serious question - did you hide away from pubs, cinemas, restaurants, etc.?

The OP moaned about ONE person, not a whole carriage full of smokers - no perspective whatsoever.

Still, fill yer boots with indignation, if it helps.

Before the smoking ban I smoked in pubs and at gigs (but never on trains!) .

One person smoking in a carriage is enough to make people uncomfortable and is entirely unnecessary.

Society has moved on and I just don't understand anyone saying it's ok to be an antisocial c**t just because we had a cracking result.

It's hardly crime of the century, is it? Not even 'c***ish' really. Nope, mountains and molehills, and to think that some would actually report it is hilarious. :lolol:

Maybe we should all start lighting up on crowded carriages again. I can think or create tons of justifications if something as minor as my favourite team winning a football match is classed as one.
